I give credit where credit is due. Today Barack Obama quit the Trinity Church in Chicago. This church has a long history of racist comments made by its ministers. Obama showed courage in breaking with their tradition.

God is all about love, as in love your enemy, love your neighbor. This church was all about hate.

Another Obama Preacher in Trouble

Father Michael Pfleger's made some racist remarks at the church of Barack Obama. Needless to say, yet again Obama disowns another preacher. The hate in that church is so thick that you can scoop it up with a spoon. And I wonder, how can such a hate filled man call himself Christian?

Do big cities pollute less?

Some people see LA as a big polluter, but what if big cities actually pollute less than small ones. It is an interesting argument for a greener future. LA is actually a very clean city. LA is one of the best and Indianapolis is one of the worst.

He wants to diplomatically engage China and India in a new initiative to end global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emmisions from the two worst polluters in the world.

McCain invites Obama to visit Iraq

It sounds so scary, but McCain is inviting Obama to visit war torn Iraq.
my advice is don't go, as iran is a very dangerous place. Also, Hillary might go to make Obama look weak, as she knows that she being a woman is not likely to be a muslim target.

There is an HBO movie about the 2000 election called Recount. It is about the battle between the forces of Gore and Bush over the state of Florida. In the end the Supreme Court rule 5-4 in favor of Bush. Still, for a few weeks we did not know who the president was.

US inflation heats up

US inflation is at a 26 year high. The cost of food and fuel are soaring at a record rate. Gasoline is nearly $4/gallon and diesel fuel is almost five dollars per gallon and rising.

Because so much corn was used to make ethanol, corn prices are real high, this causes eggs and milk to go up. This said, the cost of fuel makes transportation of food more expensive and fertilizer more expensive so we will face soaring food prices in the future as oil prices keep increaing.

Today I paid $4.11/gallon for gasoline the bill was over fifty bucks! Yes, gas is high, oil hit a new record today $128/b. They say more pump pain is on the way and we will really pay through the hose.

I say invest in silver, that is poor mans gold. I will soon visit the coin shop to get some junk silver coins.
